HUMILITY
The word that kept coming up for me? Busyness. I knew I had spiraled a bit when it came to slowing down my thoughts. I was living in an anxiety motivated world for a little bit, but I found that to be a strength of mine as opposed to a weakness. After all, I was productive and so many of us find our worth in our productivity.
UNCERTAINTY
“The impulse to protect you from this unfamiliar territory and bursting with pride when I see you do it without my help…”
CRITICISM
As I reflect on that conversation, I recall noticing my heartbeat beginning to pick up the pace, my palms began to sweat, and my hands started to shake; my initial reaction was to deflect and tell them ALL about themselves.
